DirectionsMap of Vancouver and Sunshine Coast area Squamish is located approx. 37 miles north of Vancouver on the Sea to Sky highway. The highway is undergoing some construction but traffic is kept moving along nicely. You can check the Sea to Sky Highway Improvement Project website for web or phone reports of unexpected delays. From Vancouver International Airport If arriving at the Vancouver International Airport & driving from there, the shortest route is through downtown Vancouver, over the Lions Gate Bridge, & up to highway # 1 West. See map. Go west on # 1 until exit # 2. Take exit # 2 which takes you onto highway # 99 north (Sea to Sky highway). From here you have approx. 45 to 50 minutes driving on a mountain highway to Squamish. As you reach Squamish, go to the fifth traffic light (Tim Horton’s will be on your left). Turn right at this light, go to four way stop, turn left and campgrounds are approx. 600yds. on your left. From the south by road: From USA( I 5): take exit # 275 to truck border crossing. Duty free store is at this crossing. Stay on highway # 15 (Pacific Hwy/176th.st.) to highway # 1 west. Go west on # 1 until exit # 2. Take exit # 2 which takes you onto highway # 99 north (Sea to Sky highway). From here you have approx. 45 to 50 minutes driving on a mountain highway to Squamish. As you reach Squamish, go to the fifth traffic light (Tim Horton’s will be on your left). Turn right at this light, go to four way stop, turn left and campgrounds are approx. 600yds. on your left. Using Sumas border crossing: go to highway # 1 & go west same as above. Squamish is approx. 2 hours driving from the main border crossing. From the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal: Coming off the ferry at Horseshoe Bay, get immediately into the right lane & exit right just before you go under the overpass (small sign saying Hwy#99 north). About 1/4 of the way up the hill, you come to a stop sign that has you facing Gleneagles school. Turn right. Then turn right at the next stop sign which will take you over the overpass to the stop sign at highway # 99 North.
